Yu Kwang-chung, born in Yongchun (Fujian Province in China) in 1928, is a famous scholar, poet, essayist, and literary critic. When he was 21 years old, he left China and came to Taiwan, and made a family. In Taiwan, he became a well-known poet, writer, and professor. In 1992 (64 years old), he went back to China for tourism and it was the first time to visit China since 1949. After that he has often been back to China to visit friends and relatives, to give a speech to audience, and to attend conference or for tour. His poets and essays have his own style such as lively sentences, narrative lyrics, fresh and artistic conception, and making people refresh and exciting. This book contains poems written when he stayed in Taipei, Hong Kong and Kaohsiung from 1959 to 2010. Kim Sang-ho, the translator, is a professor at Hsiuping University of science and technology in Taiwan and is a great reader of Yu Kwang-chung’s literature. With the approval of Yu Kwang-chung during the conference in National Sun Yat-sen University, he chose 100 poems and published in Seoul.
