Wolf Hsu, born Hsu Che-wei, author of murder mysteries, is also a publisher. He has put great effort into popularizing digital reading and was previously the editor in chief of Doing Publishing and head editor at Readmoo.
FIX is adapted from seven famous miscarriages of justice in Taiwan history. The book takes questionable issues from the process of investigation and prosecution in these past cases to design this “meta-creation story.” Seven authors without any relation whatsoever, while writing seven murder mysteries in completely different styles and without any prior coordination happen to meet a mysterious netizen, Ah Gui (Ghost). They are writing novels that no one should have been able to read yet, but by different channels of communication, Ah Gui is still able to point out cracks in the reasoning for each author one by one. By using the “repair” of the story as an opportunity, the author prevents the unjust and wrongful justice in the cases. The whole book uses murder mysteries at the surface level, discussing literary creation as the inner structure, and the core idea is a call to the masses to pay attention to real-world social cases.
